What Nevada law says about licensing a boarding kennel or daycare, pets nobody picks up, and rabies. Checked November 2, 2026.
No state license
No state license, but state care standards apply to kennels keeping at least 10 dogs 6 months or older. Check with your county or city for a permit.
Vets only
A state rule covers only vets: notice, then at least 5 days to claim. A non-vet kennel is not covered, so ask an attorney before rehoming an unclaimed pet.
Required
Dogs must be kept currently vaccinated.
